This is one of the many popular South Indian eateries in the Matunga/ King’s Circle area. The ambience is very basic but then this is a place to go to eat in and not for the atmosphere. You share tables, the service is quick and focuses on turning tables quickly. The advantage of this is that the food is served fresh and hot. A signage outside mentioned that guests need to share table with strangers. The gentleman serving us was elderly and he helped us make choices. He was very patient and answered all our queries with a smile. The dining room was optimally utilised to accommodate as many people at any time. Menu card was a one pager with a listing of items without description. We would strongly recommend UPMA PODI which was warm Upma placed in the center and coconut chutney in room temperature was poured on top. The dish was topped with podi (gunpowder / a powder made from lentil, chilly and spices). The filter coffee is exceptional here and is best enjoyed after a set dosa or a tuppa dosa or a pesarattu idli.
