Café Irani Chaii is located in Mahim. The two I’s in Chaii refer to owner Mansoor Showghi Yezdi’s two homes, India and Iran. As you set foot inside Cafe Irani Chaii, you’re welcomed into the old-world charm of the now rare Irani cafes. Completed with checkered flooring, wooden chairs and small tables with glass tops. The 300 square feet area is designed as after old-school Irani cafes and will have bentwood furniture, mirrored walls and a menu featuring such traditional items as bun maska, khari biscuit, cheese toast, akuri, dhansak, kheema pao, paaya, salli boti, berry pulao and mawa cake. The service here is very quick. Pallonji’s raspberry soda is the most recommended drink as it goes with any food you order. In food you can try chicken cutlet, chicken kathi, mutton samosa are most recommended.
