Visited Cafe Ekante recently and had a lovely time! The ambiance is peaceful and perfect for a relaxed outing, especially with the beautiful lakeside view adding a serene touch to the whole experience. The food was quite good — we tried the fish makhmali, chicken pulao, chicken handi, and everything was flavorful and well presented. Service was courteous and reasonably prompt, though it could be a bit more attentive during peak hours. What really stands out is the location — tucked away in Eco Park, it’s a great escape from the usual city chaos. It’s ideal for both couples and families looking to unwind. One star less just because the menu could use a bit more variety, especially in the dessert section. Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re around New Town! Would love to come back again. Atmosphere, food , service, ambiance****. But and exactly not meant for KOLKATA. Though it's in heart of the city. One of most visited place. At 6.30PM , they won't serve you TEA. Why ??? In Kolkata we start our conversation with Tea, what may be time is. It's a hangout drink!! Asked politely, if they can arrange for a cup of tea as an exception. But, they refused so easily and asked me that " You can walk back from this premises and outside we are having Tea counter, we are now preparing for Dinner". Since when Bangali taking dinner from 6.30-7.00 PM ( May be some do ) So informative. Management can check this , a cup of Tea can add flavour to the restaurant.
