Tucked in the bylanes of Bandra west, quite close to Guru Nanak Park is Bombay Taco Co. - where Mumbai meets Mexico in a taco fold. It is a small outlet serving some of the most innovative tacos in the city. Kothimbir vadi tacos? YAS! Prawns Koliwada tacos? YAAAS! You get the drift, right? I have a thing for eateries which focus on their unique selling product. Fuss free menu, comforting vibe, freshly cooked food (the kothimbir vadis are fried to order) - what's not to love! House made kombuchas is another best seller. We tried their pineapple and aamras kombucha and LOVED IT. Aside of tacos, they also serve quesadillas, tex mex salads and churros. However, I prefer their tacos over everything else. Bombay Taco Co. is vibrant and welcoming with its bright orange signage, colourful outdoors and tables, painted walls with a note from the owner. Very pinteresty! Full points for that. If you are a mumbaikar who wants to show off what the city has to offer in the food space then Bombay Taco Co. should be on your list. My friend visiting from the UK was blown away by their kothimbir vadi tacos! SAstainability: (This section is for all those of you who make sustainable travel choices. I will let you know how to get to the destination using public transport. PS: I am aware that it is sustainability but it is coming from me hence SAstainability.) The closest bus stop is Moti Mahal at Turner road. Bus no. 56 works perfectly fine for all those travelling from Worli, Prabhadevi, Dadar, Mahim or from Santacruz, Juhu, Versova. Alternatively you can take the train. Get off at Bandra station. Take bus no. 220 or 222 to Moti Mahal stop. Bombay Taco Co. is a 2 mins walk from Moti Mahal bus stop.
