I was planning to go to Canadian Crepe but it was closed that day. Saw this place near to the restaurant, recollected about the offer in Nearbuy. Bought it and went for it. This place is easy to locate. In Murugesan naicker complex. Same place where Bombaysthan was there earlier.
Parking is somewhat manageable in roadside. Not sure during peak hours. Ambiance is good. Decent number of tables and chairs to accommodate the people. Even one outside seating is available. In my view, it is not a great choice sitting outside in that location. Service was decent but can be improved.
Got Masala fries, Chutney sandwich and hurricane mocktail from the deal. They served sandwich first followed by mocktail and at last masala Fries. Is this the order of serving starter? The quantity of masala fries are more than I expected. Served hot with apt spicy level. Bit oily but I loved it.
Sandwich is below average. Mint chutney used for spreading is not tasty. Even mocktail is just OK. No comments on Price since I went through a deal.
Just the very name "Bombay" made me visit this place. This is where Haji Ali used to be before and they haven't done too many changes to the interiors except for the addition of black chairs.
We ordered
-Masala French Fries
-Mushroom Veg.Cheese Grill without Capsicum
-Butterscotch Falooda
-Kulfi Falooda
The French Fries were fried to perfection, they were neither too crisp nor too soggy, and had a succulent masala taste to it. We opted for the mushroom sandwich which had tomato, potato, mushroom and cheese along with green chutney as the filling it tasted good. The Falooda's were almost the same except for the Kulfi and Butterscotch Ice Cream. They seem to have different flavours of falooda worth trying!
If you are around Greams Road and looking for a quite spot to hangout then you should pay a visit to this place :)
I am still coming to terms with the fact that I am no longer a student and now a working professional who stares at my laptop all day! The only thing which makes me happy is drooling over pictures of food and finding places I can go to. That is exactly how I came across Bombay Blends
