Severe Misconduct, Intimidation, and Billing Malpractice — Proceed with CautionOur experience at this restaurant was not only disappointing but alarming, raising serious concerns about customer safety, billing transparency, and management ethics.The manager, who falsely introduced himself as "Prakash" (and later changed to "Chandan", real name unknown), engaged in unethical conduct from the outset. Despite accepting complete payment through the District app where restaurant accepted the table booking, and the applicable charges for booking table was also taken, we were later informed — without prior notice — that such payments were not valid as they aren't supporting District App's discount. We cooperated and paid the remaining amount via UPI.However, as we were exiting the restaurant (two floors down), we were aggressively summoned back over a minor Rs. 300 discrepancy on a bill exceeding Rs. 12,000 (as he was expecting us to pay all the amount there itself and not in parts. What followed was beyond unacceptable: the manager publicly berated his staff when we highlighted we aren't informed in both the scenarios where we paid 2 times in seperate occasions. It started with the Manager's directed hostile towards your staffs and then to us. It was very scarry to witness this threatening behavior toward us, and then he escalated the situation to physical intimidation — including body-shoving both male and female guests, loud verbal abuse (no swearing) and threats of calling bouncers to forcibly extract payment, when we started recording the video.Upon recording for our safety, the manager further attempted to snatch our phones, hurled false accusations (calling guests "drunkards" despite serving alcohol themselves), and continued to act in a manner completely unbecoming of any hospitality business.It is important to note that:> We have video evidence of the entire incident.> CCTV footage from the restaurant will corroborate these claims.> The manager's actions amount to harassment, intimidation, and attempted extortion under applicable law (I am not planning to do any of this, but it's fyi for all reading my review)> This establishment's handling of the situation was negligent and dangerous.Guests should be fully aware of the risks before choosing to dine here. In case of further escalation or defamation, we reserve the right to initiate appropriate legal action.Management is advised to review their CCTV footage and reach out if they wish to formally address the misconduct. For now, we are withholding public release of the video evidence but will not hesitate to escalate if necessary.Absolutely unacceptable experience — would strongly advise caution to future patrons.Update: After going through the latest reviews of this location, I feel we made a mistake by thinking all the establishments of Gilly's will be as great as Gilly's Marathalli Location (those folks are actually good).
