Beijing Restaurant, once a favorite, has completely lost its charm. After years, we revisited with high expectations, only to be met with disappointment at every step. The Thai soup, which used to be a highlight, was unbearably sour, and even after requesting a redo, it arrived so late that the main course had already been served. The dry chili chicken was far from what we remembered—bland, uninspiring, and nowhere near the quality of what Big Boss serves now. The Shanghai fish was a disaster—the gravy was poorly made, and worse, the fish itself was not fresh, emitting an unpleasant smell. The rice noodles had decent-sized prawns, but the dish was overly oily, making it heavy and unappetising. completely lost its way—not just with food but with drinks too. Do not order whiskey, cocktails, or anything remotely requiring skill because they simply don’t know how to make them. Their so-called Whiskey Sour was a joke—just whiskey mixed with some random fruit juice, nowhere close to the real thing. Beijing is no longer about good food—it’s just surviving on its past reputation. The quality has dropped significantly, and it’s clear that attention to freshness and flavor is no longer a priority.
