Went to Bawri on Thursday afternoon..perfect if you’re looking for peace, easy conversations, and a beautiful ambience. We got a cozy private booth where you take off your shoes and sit comfortably, which instantly sets the mood.Started with the gunpowder paneer stuffed in a Manipuri black rice dosa..interesting and flavourful. The thecha potatoes were unique, super filling, and I loved the murmura coating that made them extra crispy.For mocktails, tried the Kaji Lemon Iced Tea (a crowd favourite here) and Coco Berry. While the Kaji Lemon is popular, the Coco Berry won it for me—very refreshing.We were already quite full after the thecha potatoes because… potatoes what else do you expect?For mains, we ordered the Kathal Biryani and Mutton Nihari.The nihari was slow-cooked and soothing, though not something extraordinary. The kathal biryani felt a bit underwhelming.The highlight, hands down, was the dessert..the biggest gulab jamun I’ve ever seen. Stuffed with saffron, dry fruits, and Pishori pistachios, soaked in thick, delicious rabri. Couldn’t even finish it, but it’s an absolute must-try.
