This restaurant may please you with tasty grilled chicken, nacho salads and garlic rice. Good bread pudding, biscuits and vanilla ice cream have a nice taste. The staff were really welcoming, they treated us as guests rather than customers and uncle Jackie is the best. The food was great and unique. I recommend the ice cream pizza on the menu. It was awesome. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

One of the top choices to dine out in Manipal. Totally student friendly. There is a outdoor area and an indoor air-conditioned one too. The owner is the sweetest, most genuine and kind person ever! Love the food, it’s super delicious with a variety of dishes on the menu. The ambience and aesthetic is so good too. The ambience? Warm, welcoming, and perfect for everything from casual catch-ups to peaceful solo meals. The service? Always top-notch – friendly staff who make you feel right at home. And the food? Ahh, the food! That’s the real star of the show. If you’re visiting, don’t miss their Nachos Salsa Salad – a crunchy, flavorful starter that sets the mood just right. And for mains, my absolute go-to is the Butter Garlic Rice paired with Paneer Butter Masala – rich, buttery, and packed with comforting flavors. Basil Cafe continues to be one of those rare gems that delivers every single time. Highly recommend!
