Delicious food with one super energetic and a friendly owner. I appreciate how the person treats the guests like a family of his own. I applaud the quick service where I didn't have to wait for even 5 minutes after ordering. Yet the food was absolutely fresh..!! Wonderful place to visit in Mangalore. The restaurant has a nice setup, noticeably upscaled from their earlier small outlet. The outdoor area is especially appealing, and the ambiance has a charming traditional house feel. Food, however, was just average. The French fries and chicken breast portion were small — the breast was very thin, and a second piece would’ve made it better. Noodles were basic, and the pasta lacked creaminess and had very little chicken. The fajita felt like a plain roll, with no sides and nothing special. Service was good and quick. Basil Café is a delightful spot for continental cuisine, known for its cozy ambience and flavorful dishes. The owner’s willingness to customize food to individual preferences adds a personal touch that enhances the dining experience. While there’s limited parking and no air-conditioned hall at present. Despite this, it remains a great place for a relaxed lunch or dinner outing. Recommended.
