This restaurant is only worth for the ambience. Food is obviously very expensive but taste wise . We chose ala carte and it wasn't upto the mark. We went for lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff there, mr. Packiarajan was kind enough to bring the cake to celebrate. Overall I felt the service was very slow and poor. We waited for 20 mins to merely get water. Also I felt they prioritize guests who stay there over those who walk in. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600

The Banyan Restaurant at the Heritage Madurai Resort is fantastic. Despite the pleasant, helpful, and cooperative staff, I only awarded them three stars because there wasn't much North Indian food available. The buffet supper ended at 1000 p.m. instead of 1030 p.m., and the employees showed reluctance to serve the food. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
