I’ve visited a few hotels in Kundapura, and this is the first one I felt was clearly overpriced. In my opinion, that alone is enough reason to avoid it. Dishes like prawns ghee roast priced at ₹550 and anjal fry over ₹450 just don’t feel worth it. Even in Udupi or Mangalore, well-known hotels don’t keep such high prices.These rates are similar to what you’d find in Bangalore or other non-coastal cities, which is disappointing. The ambience was also not appealing for families. The non-AC hall had very dim lighting, which might suit people who drink, but it’s uncomfortable for families trying to enjoy a meal. The family room, on the other hand, is air-conditioned — not everyone prefers that, especially when kids don’t enjoy eating in a cold room. My husband, two kids, and I visited together, and we were completely dissatisfied with both the pricing and the overall ambience. Definitely not a place I’d recommend for a family outing.
