Sweets didn't seem to be fresh, the taste was not up to the mark of what Bhartiya Jalpan is known for. They werent spoiled but can clearly feel they were not really fresh, specially Kalakand had an after flavour which was unpleasant.

I was impressed the first time I visited this restaurant cum sweet/snacks shop. Continuing with the legacy of the founder and maintaining and excelling in quality standards. Chats, sweets, dry fruits,,.... everything is excellent. Something happened with this place. Maybe there is a management change. The service level has gone drastically down. You need to order the food and then go to the pick up area, wait for another 20 minutes before you pick up your food. Even after paying premium amount, why the customer is kept waiting in lines?
