The stay is fine if you book a cottage yet cannot make sure of good experience. As they don't care much about Indian visitors and focus more on foreigners. I had booked both- cottage in one visit and dorm in another. My visit in the cottage was for a day, which I liked being surrounded by trees. So, I booked the dorm in next visit for 6 days. I only stayed for 5 though and checked out early due to my experience. What added to my horrid experience was- 1. Dorms are not worth even half their price: Frogs float in the toilets and you can't even pee. 5 days in a row, I saw a frog sticking to the toilet rim. A slug crawling up in the sink. That's clearly not how you 'let the nature' surround you, it's sheer carelessness in the disguise of 'living with nature.' I have stayed in super cool tent houses near the core region of national parks, never faced such issues. I'm aware when it's called nature surrounding you and what's just marketing. 2. Geysers don't work more than 5 seconds of warm water. 2. Dorm beds are too feeble to climb up that they keep shaking throughout the night. If you take the upper bed, you get to hear the toilet sounds nobody wants to hear. 3. Surrounding noise: The entire surrounding keeps buzzing with noise till late night and then early morning. 3. Inclusivity and customer experience : The place lacks consistent customer satisfaction. Like I sensed that the cafeteria prefers to serve foreigners first and expect you to accommodate by giving the leftovers like I ordered idli sambhar and was given the left over dal as sambhar was not left post their buffet. Next day dosa was overly cooked. Everyday I used to order first and was served last. Once I requested to reheat my tea, they mentioned that they don't have an option for that. Felt weird. One of my dorm mates was an annoying old English lady who used to comment on every visitor like we still owe her Lagaan. (This might come across as a joke but she really made sure nobody sticks there for long, she would keep creating rules restraining others to move freely like not switching on bathroom lights post evening. It was super annoying.) The place lacks inclusivity and seems like they prefer to host non-indians more. Service: 1

I have paid 2200 INR for a dorm, I was expecting it to be a premium dorm. But its the most shadiest place I have ever stayed in. The reception is totally in a separate building very inside than the dorms. dorms are in the first floor in a different building and the wooden stairs are so steep and narrow to safely climb. The beds are literally the metal beds from Government hospitals.. The washrooms are on the ground floor. Kitchen feels like second hard garage with all used broken items.. Very disappointed with this stay. I dont feel safe to stay here, hoping for the night to end soon. The pictures on the internet are no where close to how they actually look. Service: 1

Bhakti Kutir is a breathtaking sanctuary that feels like a hidden portal into the heart of nature. Tucked away in a lush two-acre coconut grove just moments from Colomb and Palolem beaches, it offers a serene escape from the typical tourist trail. The hand-built eco-huts are beautifully rustic and blend seamlessly into the forest, providing a peaceful environment where you can wake up to the sounds of tropical birds. The hospitality is warm and heartfelt, with staff who truly treat you like family. Their kitchen serves incredible organic vegetarian and vegan meals—the fresh smoothies and house-baked breads are absolute must-tries—crafted with care that nourishes the soul. Whether you are practicing yoga in their open-air shala or enjoying a traditional Ayurvedic treatment, this place inspires a mindful way of living. I cannot wait to return to this little piece of paradise! Service: 5
