I visited Azad Star at Vazhuthacaud with high expectations, as it is often spoken about as serving the best biriyani in the city. However, based on my experience, the biriyani was not even close to being the best. The taste was average and did not justify the hype surrounding it. That said, I must appreciate the atmosphere and service — both were excellent. The place is well maintained, comfortable, and the staff were polite, attentive, and quick to respond. While the dining experience in terms of ambience and service was top-notch, the biriyani itself needs improvement to match the reputation it carries. Overall, it’s a good place to dine, but not for those specifically searching for the best biriyani in Trivandrum.
