Unpopular opinion: While the taste didn't quite live up to the hype for me personally, this spot is a classic for locals. I wouldn't call it a must-visit for the food alone, but if you're looking for a chill place to just unwind and relax, it's perfect. The atmosphere here is wonderfully serene and rustic. One of my fav bakery..love the menuserved in the bakeryjust at theentrance. Nota big fan of the cafe insidetho. We usually buy whatever we need from the bakery and then go to the cafe and eat. The chocolate croissant and cinnamon rolls are the best.

Auroville Bakery in Pondicherry is a beloved spot known for its fresh, wholesome, and delicious baked goods. Apart from bakery items, they have sandwiches, burgers, salads, continental and some local Indian items like dosai. Not super cheap, but not overly expensive either considering the bakery’s reputation. Wait times can be long during peak hours. Also, sometimes staff attention is lacking. Overall calm atmosphere, food enjoyable, outdoor seating were good to spend more time alone or with friends.
