We dropped in on DIWALI -one of the few places open. We had only cake—both the VEGAN Dark Chocolate and the Cheese Cake were quite tasty, and of GOOD QUALITYDiwali was only their third day open—and for as busy as this small bakery*resto was, the two workers (Owner +?wife?) were keeping up with the orders rather well The owner really ‘pulled things together’ quickly, and it was great planning and timing on their part to be open on Diwali !There is definitely room for improvement re the decor, yet I really stop at faulting them, being only their third day....Today, the old signage was still hanging outside (Taboo), yet the owner is clever enough to already have the new name set up with ggl maps : AURO JARS Bakery & Restaurant.AURO JARS does provide VEGAN fare and deserts, as well as Vegetarian and selections for meat-eaters as well - a wise choice for an eatery in Auroville The owner is a sweet man, and his helper (?wife) is also a friendly person. DO give AURO JARS an opportunity to feed you ! —-and you may well end up sharing table, as we did, as it certainly is “starting out with a BANG ! “
