"I recently had the misfortune of dining at this restaurant during their Pathare Prabhu festival. The food was a huge letdown. The dishes lacked flavor, with an overpowering presence of oil and spices. The fried fish, which initially looked promising with nice fillets topped with some masala, was later replaced with poorly cut and oil-drenched pieces as shown In the pictures. The prawn dishes were virtually prawn-less, and the mutton sukha was a struggle to find meat in. The chicken Kalimiri was overwhelmingly peppery and oily, leaving me coughing.When I brought this to the manager's attention, they offered me some prawn curry, which was overcooked and oily. At that point, I lost my appetite. Chef Pratap reached out to us on our table and apologized and tried to make amends, but the damage was done. It seemed like the kitchen was still getting into the swing of things on the first day of the festival, which might explain the subpar food. Unfortunately, it spoiled the entire evening." Given my experience I would advise opting for ala carte instead of the buffet.

The food was good with a good ambience and service. I would recommend Aster for family lunch and dinner. The only disappointment was Valet Parking which took like 30 minutes and multiple follow up to get the car at check out.
