Please visit Ashoka Restaurant in Kausani, near to Sumitranandan Pant gallery, to enjoy home made Kumaoni food. We had aloo muli ka thechua, mandua ki roti, kumaoni style nasala khichdi, bhat gravy (bhat is Kumaoni black beans). The weather was cool and the food was served piping hot, with lot of warmth by Amit. Amit's mother was preparing the food inside, for me, she is Annapoorna Devi Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian

Authentic taste of homemade veg food coupled with quick service. Though place is small, but it has quick and personal preparations by owner and his family. Real treat to eat. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
