You can’t do better in Hampi for the price, Archana Guesthouse embodies the Happy Hampi vibe. The owners family runs the neighboring hotels and bodega, the safety is great and they look out for you. There are kids running around and everyone is welcoming and helpful. The river view from the restaurant is the best you can get in town, relax up top or in swinging ratan chairs below. The location is superb: you don’t have to pass all the tourist shops to get in and out, in the heart of Hanpi Bazaar it’s a 5 minute walk to temple and ruins uphill, and 5 minute walk to the river ferry. The AC was divine midday after a long morning in the sun. If you treat everyone in the town well, they’ll welcome you in like family. Bedding could use an update but the rooms are very clean. You really couldn’t do better for price. The pressure on the bidet was a little too low but I imagine will be fixed shortly.

I recently stayed at Archana Guest House in Hampi, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was economical, offering great value for money, making it an ideal choice for budget-conscious travelers. The ambience was lovely, with a beautiful riverside view that added a relaxing touch to the stay. The food served at the hotel was delicious, providing a good variety and quality. One of the standout aspects was the supportive and friendly staff, who made sure that we had everything we needed and provided helpful guidance for exploring Hampi. Location is great, rooftop has a nice view and quite tasty food is available at their restaurant, but I didn't like the room so much.. So far my least favorite room since it was not well maintained and could have been cleaner, especially the sheets ( had stains) , bathroom was outside of the room, very small , couldn't probably shower. The place is family owned and they are welcoming and nice, just the room was not worth 1000 rupees a night. (They have a little shop outside where you can buy snacks and water for the day as well , that's convenient but check what you got, two things I bought were expired since months)
