Lovely place with all lip smacking Good items. Every time I plan a visit to Rangashankara, Anjus cafe is included in the plan. Clean, hygienic, very tasty and spice limit is as per old Bangalorean pallet. Finally a place where many of us can enjoy food without being worried about the unnecessary ultra flavouring that numbs our senses. Rates are reasonable too. Anju, the owner who is usually at the venue is friendly and a delight to talk with too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Other Price per person: ₹200–400 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Parking space: Difficult to find parking

The food was amazing. Me, my wife and toddler visited and loved all that we had. Pesto chicken pasta was yum, coffee was amazing and the sabudana vada was crispy and light. We ended up having 3 portions of sabudana vada. Cons: 1. The bathroom being a shared one was dirty 2. Not kid friendly. My toddler likes to eat on his own and the bench being far from table he was not able to reach the food. So we opened his shoes and made him sit on the table to eat. The staff went nuts seeing this. Asked me to remove my kid immediately otherwise the owner will abuse him (gaali maaregi in hindi). I politely asked for a baby chair, which we said they don’t keep. So I asked then how is my baby supposed to eat. He rudely replied saying ‘that’s your problem ‘. Anyways, the owner then came and handled the situation but the evening was ruined by then. Toddler also stopped eating because of the ruckus. 3. Cleanliness: tables and floor can be improved Will I return? No. Although the food is definitely good, the atmosphere is what defines the visit. Hi Adhraj,We've spoken on this. First out, thank you for the manner in which you've worded the reveiw. Many times the food ends up being the victim in these scenarios. You chose to be objective. You are also right in that the experience is as important. That said, these instructions given to the staff to ensure children do not sit on the table is for their safety and to ensure a hygiene setting for all guests. The cafe is a rustic, theatre cafe and we do our best to accommodate everyone. Best wishes.

Hanging out here is truly a fantastic experience. The whole ambience rocks. The food served is top notch. You name it and they have it. The host Anju is such an angel. Always smiling and takes care of each tiny aspect to make you comfortable. I can vouch and admit that Anju, herself is the USP of the cafe. Have been visiting Ranga Shankara for years and trust me , spending time at Anju's Cafe gives me an all time high. Visit Anju's Cafe and you will get to know what I am raving about. Not only me , there are thousands of people who would agree. Hats off..Keep it going Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Appam Stew Veg, Keema Masala Pav Bhaji, Paratha, Salad, Veg Stew, Sabudana Vada with Tea, Vada Pav
