I would give this place 6 out of 5 if i could. This is my quaint escapade from the daily grind. Food is nutritious and hygienic. Fitness freaks can op varieties like Spanish Omelette, Kheema Curry & Ragi Rotti. Their sabudana vada is out of the world and a must try. Catching a glimpse of popular Sandalwood and Bollywood celebrities occasionally is a pleasant surprise. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Look for parking the adjacent streets during peak hours.

An Honest and Painful Experience at Anju’s Café, Ranga Shankara As a regular visitor to Anju’s Café at Ranga Shankara, Bangalore, I’ve always appreciated the warm, artistic vibe of the place—a space where my one-year-old could explore comfortably, even relaxing barefoot or in his tiny sandals on the table while we shared peaceful moments together . Today, however, I was deeply shocked and hurt by the behavior of the café owner. My baby, as always, was calmly seated on the table with his footwear on, and apparently the people have problems with it. Suddenly, the owner approached us with unnecessary aggression, reprimanding us for the way my child was seated. Her manner was not only rude but startling, especially given the presence of a toddler. She later justified her tone by saying he could have fallen—but any genuine concern could have easily been communicated with kindness and respect. What’s most disappointing is that despite being regular customers, we were treated with hostility rather than understanding. As any parent would agree, toddlers are curious and expressive, and a little empathy goes a long way. Her approach felt heartless and completely out of line with the café’s otherwise calm ambience. While the food and space continue to be commendable, the behavior I witnessed today makes it hard to call Anju’s Café a welcoming place. One person's insensitivity can truly alter the experience, and sadly, today it did. This incident left me hurt enough to pen down this honest review in hopes of better treatment for others in the future.

Dear Vandana, Thank you for sharing your feedback. At Anju’s Café, we deeply value the community that has grown with us over the years, and we’re always happy to see families and children enjoy the space. In this particular instance, the message conveyed by the café owner was purely out of concern—both from a safety and hygiene perspective. Having children seated on dining tables with footwear on can pose risks in a shared environment, and the intent was to highlight this gently and responsibly. We understand that it may have been perceived differently in the moment, but we assure you that there was no hostility or disrespect intended. We genuinely hope this incident won’t overshadow the many good memories you’ve had with us, and we look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Warm regards, Team Anju’s Café

Hanging out here is truly a fantastic experience. The whole ambience rocks. The food served is top notch. You name it and they have it. The host Anju is such an angel. Always smiling and takes care of each tiny aspect to make you comfortable. I can vouch and admit that Anju, herself is the USP of the cafe. Have been visiting Ranga Shankara for years and trust me , spending time at Anju's Cafe gives me an all time high. Visit Anju's Cafe and you will get to know what I am raving about. Not only me , there are thousands of people who would agree.
