Nestled in the outskirts of Pune, Anandvan Gokhale Mala is a fine dining establishment that offers authentic Maharashtrian vegetarian cuisine. The establishment boasts a serene and peaceful ambiance with ample outdoor seating and a lush green surrounding. The interior design is rustic and charming, featuring traditional rope beds called "khaats" for seating/lying down.
The price range at Anandvan Gokhale Mala is on the higher side, with their unlimited thali priced at INR 300 per plate. However, the quality and taste of the food make it worth the cost. The establishment is located on Alandi Road, making it easily accessible for both locals and tourists.
One of the special features of this place is their extensive menu, which includes dishes like Kadi, Dal-Rice with ghee, Papad, Bhakari (Bajri/Jwari) with Loni (White Butter)/Chapati, and desserts like Gulab Jamun and Homemade Shrikhanda. They also serve refreshing soft drinks like Limbu Sarbat (Lemonade) and Aam Panna (Mango Drink). For those who prefer wine, they have an impressive collection of Indian wines like Sula and Grover Zampa.
Anandvan Gokhale Mala is a paradise for Maharashtrian cuisine lovers, offering a unique and earthy dining experience. It's an ideal place to hang out with family and friends, especially for those with small children. However, the service can be slow during crowded days or festive times. Overall, it's a must-visit eatery for those looking to try traditional Maharashtrian food in a beautiful setting.
Lately this place is loosing it’s well earned image. Service staff is rude, untrained probably to handle customers. Requested owner that her staff needs training on handling customer, instead of listening she told me that I might have mistaken. Very strange and unexpected response from such a heritage dining outlet. May God shower required uncommon sense on those owners. I visited this restaurant today, we started eating at 9pm and I was surprised to find that they stopped serving at 9.30 pm, even though their posted hours are until 10 pm. When I asked to serve food, I noticed te staff were already having dinner and told us that there are no chapatis and later closed the door, despite us not having finished our meal yet. Very disappointing experience. Management should look into the matter. Meal type: Dinner Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
