You can have perfectly cooked fish curry, fried fish and fried mussels at this restaurant. Do not go away without eating good payasam. If you look through the visitors' reviews, the staff is gracious at Ananda Bhavan. Fast service is something clients like here. From the guests' point of view, the atmosphere is comfortable. Amazing experience in kannur .. we went here on the last day of our trip for lunch. It was an amazing experience. The hotel is small not big and fancy. But the food omg was amazing . We tried king fish , prawn fry , kallumakai( mussels) and sadhya and mini fish fry. No waiting time . Food was all ready. Peaceful lunch. The chef cook Mr.Manohar came to meet us and greeted us with so much love and asked us how the food was. Kind owner. Most important part - no stomach upset after the food. Because we were 2 families with 3 kids Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Kannur is known for some fantastic seafood restaurants. However when it comes to the best among them, my vote will go to ‘Ananda Bhavan’ .. Have been hearing about it for a while and finally got a chance to visit today. We had meals along with a variety of sea food items including Ayakoora (king fish) fry, kalummakaya (mussels) fry, muru (oyster) fry, kalanchi (sea bass) fry, prawns fry, meen mutta (fish egg) fry etc. Each one of them, with its flavour, masala and perfectly done frying, is equally mouth watering. If you love seafood, don’t think twice before you pay a visit here .. Another highlight is the vegetarian part of this largely fish centric meals. The sambhar, pachadi, and vegetarian side dishes were simply fantastic. Honestly with the prior experience of veg items in restaurants famous for fish/non veg, I did not expect vegetarian section to be this tasty. Finally as an icing on the cake, there was a soothingly tasty buttermilk and a super yummy payasam to finish off proceedings .. What more you need .. The servers were all super courteous and very energetic. The toilet is very neat and tidy as well. All in all as Ustad once told to Faisy, the lunch here filled our stomach as well as our mind Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹2,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: King Fish Fry, Kallumakayi Fry, Payasam, Fish Fries, Prawns Fry, Kallummakkaya Fry, Oyster Fry, Chemmeen Fry Vegetarian offerings: Not sure Vegetarian options: Here fish is the speciality.. however vegetarian curry (sambhar, pachadi etc) is one of best you could get . Can surely give a try
