We come here very often, in groups of 4 to 6,members of a self proclaimed Elai Sappadu group. One of our veteran member is a hardcore die hard fan of this restaurant, who is vehemantly adamant to try new and better restaurants than this. Our main objective is to meet, and hence the food is secondary for us. Having said that the food should be atleast palatable, with a better service level, However, the food is below average, and service level is even more pathetic. *The uniformed waiters stewards are not attentive. *They wear a mask, which itself is unhygienic, it leaves you with a feeling of being sick and as if you are visiting a hospital. It's a very bad hygiene practise, and the management should immediately stop it. It looks like a sick patient is serving you food. Highly disgusting. *Their movement is lethargic *Their conduct is not so polite and the behaviour is highly intimidating and unplesant. *Due to lackdaisal approach and morose like facial gestures of waiters, the charm of dining here is lost. *Lack of supervisors. * It leaves you with a guilt of dining at a charity home, as if it's not a paid service. *The Quality of food is below average. * The taste isn't upto the mark. *The sambhar is served in a small cup and that too half level. *75% of sambhar volume is through too many onions. Tomatoes and other visible add ons, it cannot be called as Sambhar, looks like just because no one is complaining, so management does not want to improve Sambhar Quality and consistency. *Refils of Sambhar takes too much time, after repeatedly waiving hands in the air, seeking waiters attention. * Idly that we ordered had a big human hair inside it. * After long argument the waiter hesitantly agreed to provide a replacement, citing his supervisor's high headedness. * In Masala Dosai, the masala was too bland and potato mash wasn't appropriate, it was with big lumps of potato. * Overall, the whole Dining experience was stressful, rather than being pleasant one. Unfortunately. Our veteran friend would still like to come back here, inspite of the fact that he agreed about taste, quality and service issues. This is one good reason that this restaurant is sustaining. Inspite of poor service standards and Unpalatable food and hygine issues. Unfortunately our group is living with this torture, and will be compelled to visit this charity like service restaurant. It's merely our bad karma. As I can see. I am sure one Mr.Vijay from management side will appear here to offer lip sympathy and regrets on this window, and continue to provide pathetic experience, and refuse to improve or act upon the feedback. Maris serves an authentic South Indian meal on banana leaf. Recently I have tried few South Indian thalis in other restaurants, They serve the poori masala, chole etc from breakfast menu in the thali without taking the effort to cook for lunch Maris takes the effort to serve healthy green vegetables plus a fried vegetable like potato roast. The meal has items like rice, puris, sambhar, rasam, avial or kootu, vatha kuzambhu, moru kuzambhu, cucumber curd pachadi, pappad, pickles and desserts like payasam or kesari. The food is delicious like home made food. I highly recommend this place for vegetarians Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹600–800 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: South Indian Meal Served on Banana Leaf Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian

Visited Anandam restaurant June 23, 2024. There is no restaurant manager to recieve people. When enquiring a table for 6 ppl, waiters are telling us if you find a place just sit. I have never faced this kind of response at any restaurant. Customer reception is zero. Please avoid going to this restaurant if you want avoid the embarrassment what I had to face. Follow Up Note to Vijay (Anandam Restaurant Manager) We visited your restaurant on between 7.30 PM To 8.30 PM. Four adults and Two Children. Post this experience we went to Palmgrove. There the reception is far better. Even though we had to wait 1/2 hr, a floor captain took our name and asked us to wait in lobby. It was my son decision to visit your restaurant since Maris, Woodlands, Ashoka and Palmgrove are few old veg restaurants. But without presence of floor captain I really don't understand what kind of business you ppl do. Sorry Vijay your restaurant reception was pathetic that day. Thank You. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
