Ammaayee unavagam is located behind Sona College good residential area. This place serves authentic Home style non vegetarian food which specialises in Biryani varieties. When we went the place was buzzing with college students. We were welcomed with hot chicken soup and warm smile. We ordered chicken thokku biryani and chicken Dum Biryani which are their specialties. Biryani was made with seeraga samba rice and had authentic taste. The boneless chicken 65 was fried with curry leaves adding good flavour. We finished with some white rice and rasam. Capped with fresh beeda. Overall a very good experience. The price is reasonable as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was seeking a delectable non-veg food experience and came across this place on my Google search. To ensure that my friend, who can be very finicky about food taste and ambience of the place, I was looking for restaurants that had more 4 star rating on the reviews. Was pleasantly surprised to see a restaurant with 5 stars rating and sought this out. The approach to the place was a bit tricky with the maps auntie’s delayed response today, but we managed to find the place. I kept my expectations low so as not to be disappointed. But the ambience was neat and appealing for the experience. This was just one star ticked. Then came the food experience - the way the menu and the food preparation was explained takes the second star. Initially I was not sure about the taste so ordered one biryani to be shared with my friend. But ended up ordering 5 biryani as take away to Bangalore. As I write this review my family is relishing the biryani. I give 1.5 stars for this. The rest of the 1.5 stars is for the hospitality. I don’t find words to describe their kind approach to making the customer comfortable, but I was overwhelmed with their kindness.
