We had a great dining experience at Amethyst Café! The chicken pizza stood out with its soft, airy crust and generous, well-seasoned toppings — every bite was satisfying. The Kasundi Murg Tikka had a beautiful balance of smokiness and tang, full of bold flavors. We ended with the Mango Happy Doi, which was light, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and the cozy ambiance made it even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to visit again!

Overrated, Underwhelming, and Definitely Not Worth the Hype Had high hopes for this place based on all the buzz, but honestly, the experience was a complete letdown. Let’s get straight to the point: Veg Aglio Olio Pasta – This was hands down one of the worst versions of Aglio Olio I’ve ever had at any café. Bland, oily, and lacked even basic flavor. Felt like something thrown together with no balance or taste. Cheese Balls – The only dish that was just about okay. Crispy on the outside and mildly cheesy on the inside, but nothing memorable or worth a second order. Café Frappe – Here’s where things got really annoying. A Café Frappe literally everywhere else means milk + coffee + sugar, blended to creamy perfection and topped with whipped cream. But here? They served us cold espresso—no milk, no sugar, no whipped cream. Just cold, bitter coffee in a glass. And they called that a frappe. Honestly baffling. So please be very careful when ordering drinks here; what you expect may be wildly different from what you get. For the kind of food and drink we received, the pricing feels completely unjustified. You’re essentially paying for the setting, not the food. Yes, the café has a nice green setting with a lot of plants and pots around, giving it a calming, garden-like vibe. But again, this charm is really only felt during the daytime. If you're visiting at night, it loses a lot of its appeal. Aside from the aesthetic appeal of the place, there’s nothing else going for it. The food is poor, the drinks are misleading, and the overall hype doesn’t match the actual experience. Definitely felt like a case of style over substance. If you’re heading here just for Instagram pictures, sure, it might do. But if you’re looking for good food and a quality café experience, I’d say skip Wild Garden Café—there are far better places in Chennai that deliver on both taste and vibe. Wild Garden Cafe is like sanctuary in the middle of the hustle and bubble of the urban area. The gardens are rich, thick and green. It was a great dining experience in the cozy restaurant. Nice meals and very courteous personnel. Wild garden is also a nice location for shopping...boutique and a fabulous florist shop that can put a bouquet together in a few minutes. Wild Gardencafe is indeed a place to go for complete relaxation. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
