Visited Amayaa restaurant during my recent trip to Shimla. We went there for lunch after our morning visit to Jakhu Temple. The restaurant is conveniently located near the Shimla Mall Road lift, hardly a 5-minute walk, and easy to find as they have a person on Mall Road assisting with reservations. It’s situated between the upper and lower Mall Road, so you need to step down a bit. The ambiance was calm, warm, and beautifully decorated with Christmas décor, which added to the overall vibe. I ordered the local Himachali trout with sautéed vegetables—absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The mutton curry with roti combo was excellent; enjoying mutton in the mountain cold hits different altogether. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza for my son, and it was nice to find a good thin-crust option. Service was prompt and attentive, and clean, well-maintained toilets were a big plus—especially while traveling. Overall, a great dining experience and definitely worth the money. Highly recommended if you’re around Mall Road.
