My personal favourite for shawarma s would be this placetheir tandoori chicken is very tasty too!! Parking is a menace and the queue points towards the greatness of the place. But worth the wait!!

Al Kebabish answered a sudden craving for grilled chicken, and perhaps that was the first mistake. We had tried their shawarma before and found it fairly good, enough to make us believe the rest of the menu might carry the same confidence. This time, however, the experience felt far more ordinary than the reputation around it suggests. The place itself is built entirely for utility. It stares out at the road with no real seating to speak of, making it clear from the start that this is a grab and go sort of establishment. Parking, of course, is left to faith and luck. You simply circle the nearby cut roads and pray for a miracle. The ambience is almost nonexistent. Lighting, packing, presentation, everything is done with the emotional warmth of an errand. Nothing tries to charm you and nothing succeeds in doing so by accident either. We ordered the tandoori chicken first, expecting something smoky, tender, and satisfying. What arrived was disappointingly average. The chicken was not nearly as tender as it should have been and the spice leaned too heavily into aggression without offering much flavour in return. It was not fiery in an enjoyable way, just a little too harsh and a little too dry, like a dish trying to compensate for its own shortcomings by shouting. The egg fried rice was better, though only by comparison. It was decent, the quantity was fair, and the rice itself was enjoyable enough. Nothing extraordinary, nothing memorable, but it did its job without offending the appetite. That, in the end, is the problem with Al Kebabish. It is not terrible, but it is too ordinary for the kind of attention it receives. The place feels overhyped, and there is room for improvement everywhere, in the flavour, in the consistency, in the service, and certainly in the overall experience. What could have been a satisfying little takeaway spot ends up feeling like a place still waiting to become the version of itself people talk about. 6/10.
