I visited Aaswad Upahar & Mithai Gruh in Dadar, adjacent to Shiv Sena Bhavan, with a group of friends after finding it on Google. I must say, it completely lived up to my expectations! We ordered a variety of Maharashtrian dishes including Misal, Methi Vadi, Ukdiche Modak and Caramel Custard. Each item was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavors. The Misal had the perfect spice, the Methi Vada was crisp and flavorful, the Caramel Custard was smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced and the Ukdiche Modak were soft, fresh, and soulful was the perfect sweet ending. If you’re looking to explore authentic Maharashtrian cuisine in Mumbai, Aasvaad is the place. It delivers on every front—taste, quality, and tradition. Highly recommended!
