FOOD. Was to authentic to a point, delicious and cooked well. The rice was light.
I had ordered the economic fish curry in rice since I was ordering for the first time and wasnt confident enough to get the costlier items. However, the two large fish pieces were brilliantly cooked with enough gravy to satisfy two people. The shorshe could have been a bit more ঝাঁঝালো (zesty I guess).
I kept on sucking the bones when I finally had the Macher Matha diye Pui Shaak, which was excellent. The shukto was equally good.
While the other portions were good for a single person, I did not appreciate however the extremely limited amount of rice sent. Since I had ordered multiple dishes thinking আজ দুপুরে প্রচুর খাওয়া হবে, and I don't know how to cook at all, I just managed to eat the fish with rice. ?
PRICES are more on the higher side when compared to other Bengali restaurants. Their overall vibe is that of a local eatery but the prices are akin to fancy CR park/Kalkaji restaurants.
The WORST PACKAGING I have come across in the past 6 months. It took me nearly 10 minutes to get the cellophane off the dabbas. Would request the restaurant to please try to be better. Otherwise I simply can't order from here anymore.
