This place is not comparison with Jayanagar branch at all.. Food & Service both are not upto mark.. Ambience is subpar! You can avoid this if you are planning for some birthday party or any gathering.. They are understaffed and your orders will take hell lot of time to get, once you get either it will be cold or tasteless. Please avoid

We went to the a la carte section of 1947 restaurant as we had old and young members in our group .. The place is quite spacious and well furnished.. Seems slightly less lit but that doesn't hamper the enjoyment! The food is very tasty and medium spicy hence very much suitable to most of us. We had tomato basil soup which had fresh basil leaves garnished over the soup, hence very refreshing and flavoured! For starters, we ordered 1947 tandoor platter that had malai paneer tikka, tandoor potato & cauliflower, and seekh kebab.. Served with green chutney and ketchup, also spring rolls, all was mouth watering .. We had a long wait post that, which could have been avoided with some quick and efficient service as we had requested for chaat platter of papdi chaat, nachos chaat and gol gappa/paani puri and separately palak patti chaat so crispy and yummy .. In main course, there was little vegetable bucket, lahori panneer and daal tadka with roti bucket consisting of multi varieties of rotis made of wheat .. Plus boondi raita and peas kaaju pulao .. Not to miss choke bhature For desserts we ordered gulab jamun, mango ice cream, rabdi with kulfi, chikkamangalore kaapi ice cream, mysore pak ice cream, shahi gajar halwa.. All of which tasted very good..
