As a frequent traveler and a self-proclaimed connoisseur of fine dining experiences, I must say that my recent dining experience at the Taj Vivanta Shillong has left an indelible mark on my memory. While the Taj brand is renowned for its excellent cuisine and impeccable service, the team at Vivanta Shillong truly exceeded my expectations. Let me start by commending the exceptional service provided by the staff. While the food is always good at Taj properties, the service at Taj Vivanta Shillong is truly in a league of its own. As someone traveling with a toddler, I understand the challenges of enjoying a comfortable dining experience. However, the service staff at Vivanta Shillong went above and beyond to ensure that my family and I had a seamless and enjoyable time. I must extend a special mention to the floor manager, Linda, and the staff members Jintu, Meba, Mersi, Aiti, and Sayoo. Their warmth, attentiveness, and attention to detail were truly remarkable. From accommodating our little one's preferences to anticipating our needs before we even articulated them, these individuals exemplified the epitome of hospitality. Their genuine care and concern for our well-being transcended mere professionalism; it felt as though we were being attended to by family members who genuinely cared about our comfort and satisfaction. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile made our stay not just enjoyable but truly memorable. It is rare to encounter such dedicated individuals who take pride in their work and strive to create lasting memories for their guests. The exceptional service provided by Linda, Jintu, Meba, Mersi, Aiti, and Sayoo has undoubtedly made me a customer for life. Service was very good. Mr. Rupam who hosted us was excellent & really appreciable. All staff members were very friendly and helpful. As regard to service it's a 5 on 5. However food was good but few items could have been better... Biriyani was not upto the mark (and excessive salty). Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,800–2,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Hara Bhara Kebab, Pastries
