I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at Hotel Ghoonghat in Kota. I had booked the hotel online well in advance, but when I arrived at the property, the staff at the reception outright refused to accept my online booking. There was no prior communication about this, and I was left stranded with my luggage, trying to find another hotel at the last minute. This was extremely stressful and completely ruined my plans. The room service was equally poor. They didn’t even provide basic necessities like a towel. The room itself was not clean—dusty, dirty, and not maintained properly. The bathroom was unhygienic and had AC water leaking into it, which made it even worse. To add to the discomfort, the AC remote was missing, and the only way to operate the AC was through a switch located nearly 10 feet above the ground. I had to stand on a chair to turn it on or off, which is extremely unsafe and ridiculous for a guest to do. Overall, the service, cleanliness, and management of this hotel are extremely poor. I had a terrible experience and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. One star is more than it deserves.
