I tried chicken biryani and mutton biryani and natu kodi gravy today. The food tastes very good and i strongly recommend that this place is good for biryani. In nellore I haven't ate biryani with that taste before. Its completely my perspective. Review of Hoskote Dum Biryani I recently visited Hoskote Dum Biryani, located next to the HP Petrol Bunk on the Chennai-Vijayawada National Highway, after hearing from a friend about their early morning biryani, served at 4 a.m. on specific days like Sunday and Wednesday. The buzz had me intrigued, so I decided to check it out on Sunday, October 13th, at around 3:50 a.m. To my surprise, there was already quite a crowd, about 30 people, including families and groups of friends. After placing an order for two chicken biryanis, which cost around 360-340 INR each, I received a token and was told to join the line. Unfortunately, by the time I got there, the first round of chicken biryani had run out, but luckily, mutton biryani was still available. I waited in line for about 20 minutes, only for my friend to skip ahead and grab two plates for us. I appreciated the shortcut but continued to observe the setup while waiting. After finally getting my plate, I noticed that the rice used wasn’t basmati, and the cashews were steamed with the biryani rather than fried—a detail I didn’t enjoy. The biryani was served with a fried chicken piece and a leg piece, which turned out to be the real stars of the meal, far better than the rice. A lemon-flavored local drink served on the side was refreshing. Since the tables were already packed, we improvised by eating near our parked bike under a tree along the highway. In summary, the biryani itself didn’t live up to the hype; however, the fried chicken and leg piece were excellent, and the cool drink was a nice addition. It’s a unique experience with an enthusiastic crowd and early morning vibe, but the taste didn’t quite meet my expectations.
