A Disappointing Dining Experience at Zubaan Restaurant, Meenangadi – Please Exercise Caution During our recent family trip to Wayanad, we decided to stop for lunch at Zubaan Restaurant in Meenangadi after visiting the Edakkal Caves. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. My friend ordered the chicken biryani, which was of poor quality, and my wife had only a pineapple juice—yet even that caused severe discomfort. The restaurant was visibly unhygienic, with flies around the food and a general lack of cleanliness. The utensils were greasy, and I had to request that they be washed again before use. Within a couple of hours, my wife started vomiting, and my friend, who had the biryani, also experienced continuous vomiting spells. This unexpected illness disrupted our travel plans and turned what should have been a joyful outing into a stressful experience. While I don't expect anyone to take this at face value, I strongly suggest that if you consider eating here, take a few minutes to observe the hygiene and cleanliness first. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and cleanliness was clearly not a priority. This visit, sadly, became one of the low points of our trip. They wont issue cash bill instead will give you a handwritten 'cash memo' which doesnt hold their registration id , hotel name or address. This shows they are well prepared with such actions. Food quality is very pathetic , contaminated items used for the preparation. Not atall hygienic. Never recommend for food .. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹600–800
