Being a biryani lover, I was craving a good plate of biryani. Having tasted some of the best in Hyderabad and Lucknow, I wasn’t sure if I could find the same flavors in Siliguri. After a bit of research, I came across Zaika, conveniently located near my hotel at Venus More. I decided to give it a try. Even at 8 PM, the restaurant was bustling with people. I ordered one of their specials, took it back to my hotel, and paired it with a chilled Carlsberg beer. The biryani turned out to be good—though not quite at the level of Hyderabad or Lucknow, of course. I did miss the raita and gravy that usually complete the experience.
