Yuuka by Ting Yen offers an upscale dining experience situated on Level 37 of the Palladium Hotel, providing a unique perspective over Mumbai. This restaurant specializes in Japanese cuisine, boasting a full bar and cocktails. Visitors can appreciate the meticulous artistry that goes into its sushi offerings, with fresh ingredients like wasabi featured prominently, a rare treat in many locations. However, it's worth noting that some diners have commented on the portion sizes, describing them as notably small, which might not suit everyone's appetite.
While the venue offers reservations and Wi-Fi access, it lacks outdoor seating, possibly appealing to those preferring a more intimate indoor setting. Despite its high perch and promising menu, Yuuka seems to quietly drift under the radar. It’s only faintly visible on popular restaurant directories, except for a minimal Foursquare presence. With reviews being six years past, potential diners might ponder how Yuuka has evolved since then, due to the absence of fresh information shared by the management.
The atmosphere inside has been described as both intriguing and lacking liveliness, with limited patrons contributing to its quiet ambiance during some visits. For those seeking a lively dining environment, this might be a consideration. For now, Yuuka remains an enigmatic choice for those exploring Japanese delicacies within the city, nestled away amidst the vibrant backdrop of Mumbai yet somehow retaining its own quiet profile.
Interesting interior, food is alright but the portions are very tiny. There were hardly any people in the restaurant when I visited which made the place feel dead. Not somewhere I'd go again.
