Found out about this amazing restaurant yesterday, YOU MEE, and I am so glad to share that after a long time I came across a place that delivers what they promised, in terms of aesthetics, flavour, quantity, and quality.
This restaurant specializes in Japanese cuisine and has a wholesome menu ranging from sushi platters to ramen bowls. I was pleasantly taken to find vegan options on their menu. There aren’t many restaurants that are catering to the vegan call, but YOU MEE sure does.
I ordered their Vegan coconut curry ramen bowl and was delighted by the balance of flavour they managed to maintain. The curry was moreish and comforting, while also delivering the essence of oriental. Quantity wise it was a great portion for one person. One might find the restaurant slightly heavy on the pocket but the quality they deliver sure makes up for the price.
I also ordered their “Blueberry and White chocolate cheesecake” and “Double chocolate conquest” and I must say I am thoroughly impressed with the presentation, texture, and delish desserts that they serve.
The Blueberry and White chocolate cheesecake is a gelatin set cheesecake that definitely goes with the oriental theme, unlike the baked New York cheesecakes. The texture was smooth and wobbly and the flavour was subtle with a controlled level of sugar, just perfect to end a light oriental meal. Not to forget the brief dollop of lemon curd and disk of white chocolate. Mostly the garnishes on desserts are there only for aesthetics but their garnishes tasted yum!
The Double chocolate conquest definitely did win the conquest of flavours and aced the game to own the title of “the king of desserts”. Chocolate mousses in India are usually dense in both texture and flavour, but somehow this mousse was light and fluffy while having a piquant chocolaty flavour.
I absolutely enjoyed my experience with YOU MEE, and if you are looking for good oriental food, YOU MEE will be my suggestion for you.
