Yatrinivas Restuarant ( OTDC Restuarant ) is pretty near Konark Sun Temple. The only thing that disappoints when you visit this restaurant is the inattentive staff. A lot of reviewers find that the service is fine. The atmosphere of this place is cool. But Yatrinivas Restuarant ( OTDC Restuarant ) is not highly estimated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

Since I am from bhubaneswar so I have visited this place many times. Used to be a good place for dining . I visited konark recently on 3rd December 23. And went to Yatri nivas for lunch,found the same dining hall same atmosphere but only one man at the counter and no other staff at sight. Asked the man at counter if any food was available he said everything veg and non veg. Well waited there for another 15 mnts. Since no other guests were in the hall so I was in doubt whether they have cooked any food at all other than that for their own staff because I found the manager taking his meal at a distance. Then after 15 mnts of waiting on my request one new young man appeared.I inquired about the old staff who were ofcourse known to me.The young lad said all old experienced staff have been transferred. Then I ordered a simple fish meal. The young man disappeared for twenty minutes, since I was hungry so I got up and told the man sitting at the counter that I am leaving without food. Most interestingly he just looked up and didn't respond at all. I got the message and left dear Yatri nivas at around 2.20 pm. Moral is ; this is the state of affairs in OTDC running place today. Perhaps they are planning to give away the property to some private party like Puri pantha nivas.
