This was a spontaneous decision and we searched it on Google reviews before entering and saw very few reviews so we were wary. However, we went for it and it was so worth the decision. We ordered mutton potato, pork and peanuts, and the pokchoy stir fry, with some egg fried rice and every dish was amazingly flavourful. A few more friends joined a little later and ordered a few other things and those were also very good. I think the kitchen may have been a little understaffed so some dishes took more time than expected but overall the wait was very worth it because of he final taste. The bathroom and basin to wash hands were one floor below, and those were not ideal in terms of cleanliness. If those are worked on, this would be a 10/10 recommendation Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

My friend and I were in McLeodganj for 7 days and we dined at the Hot Yak restaurant 3 times. That's a testimony to how fantastic the food is at this restaurant. The sheer range of pork, mutton, chicken and mushroom dishes is amazing! A vibrant ambience and quick service, this is exactly what you need at the end of a long day of sightseeing or workationing. Now that I am back home in Mumbai, all my memories of the quaint town of McLeodganj are heavily connected to the mouth-watering food at Hot Yak and fingers crossed, I get to go back some day for some more :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
