Hi there, We were supposed to have a Family Dinner last night since it was my Dad's Birthday. After checking for various options, multiple restaurants,food variety, ambience and ofcourse offers,we concluded on Bombay Retro Lounge. We made a reservation for 5 adults and 2 kids much in advance last evening only to be leaving the place within 20 minutes of being there. Now the reasons are...to start with overly charged rates on simple beer and regular alcohol brands and even other non alcoholic drinks.( higher than 5 star lounger bars in Bombay) Highly priced dishes in veg and non veg. We asked for a mutton biryani...the waiter writes down the order then comes back saying,that mutton is not available..where in their menu they had a list of dishes in mutton..on a Sunday at peak dinning hours they don't have it ,then why display it on the menu...then a Prawns dish we enquired about was another flop and surprisingly high priced dish ( dry prawns fry more expensive than tiger prawns dishes at other fine dining restaurants)so we had to cancel that aswell...like this there were few things left to order on their suggestions which we weren't interested in the having..so travelling all the way there to leave without having our purpose of visit sorted.. we had to leave the place without dinner. The ambience is quite nice, music was fine too ,but empty,no crowd even on a Sunday. It's too overly priced with unpleasant service,non availablity of food from their own Menu was disappointing and we had to reschedule and look for another decent place and travel a distance and get delayed for the celebration.Inconvenient with senior citizens and kids . Food: 1 Service: 1
