The food was very good. On top of it shajahan the waiter was really nice, serving on time and so kind, really done a good job. Must visit! The perfect spot for relaxing. There's a library in the cafe. Loved it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ₹800–1,000

Probably one of the best cafe's in chennai. The taramani branch and the one near Sathyam Theatre are the best Writers Cafe branches. This place has the best pasta and dessert in chennai under a descent budget. Their black ebony is something to die for which is a chocolate mousse kond of pastry, all of their pastas are authentic, filling and well made. Their square pizzas can feed 2 people and the saice to topping to cheese ration is good, not the best though but still very great. I have been a regular for 7 years now. This place feels comforting, soothing and special. It is calm and the books around you puts a smile on your face. The staff here are very corteous and well mannered. You will not feel like a stranger here. This is one of the OG Must try places in chennai. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Writer's cafe has always been my go-to comfort place. And this particular branch was really good. The food was really delicious. Nowhere in Chennai can you get such amazing food at decent prices. Recommended dishes: Madras Barbeque chicken pizza, jalepeno poppers, and their pastas. The desserts here are so delicious! I'm a huge fan of their "death by chocolate" pastry.
