If you have never tried Italian cuisine, you should order a table at Woodside Inn - Bandra. Good bacon, prawns and grilled chicken are the tastiest dishes. It is nice to enjoy delicious craft beer, wine or ale. Great juice is waiting for you at this place.
The intimate atmosphere of this spot allows visitors to relax after a hard working day. The patient staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. I’ve been going to Woodside Inn since the days when it was an Udipi joint opposite Regal Cinema. I have many fond memories associated with the old place and with all three of the newer Woodside Inn locations. Today, however, took an unexpected turn. I took a few friends — who had never been there before — to the Bandra outlet at Pali Naka. We didn’t get a table immediately, so we sat at the bar until we were ushered to our seats about half an hour later. I encouraged my friends to order anything, assuring them that the food is always excellent. We ordered starters and settled in for what was shaping up to be a lovely evening. This isn’t about the food — it’s about what happened next. At around 9 pm, barely 30–45 minutes into our evening, we were asked to vacate the table because it was reserved for another guest. I asked where we were being shifted, since no one had informed us of any time limit earlier. We were told, “Sorry, we don’t have another table.” Who does this? The manager, Venessa, then called the staff member who had seated us. He claimed he had mentioned the table was only until 9 pm — which was certainly not communicated. Had we known, we would have gone elsewhere. My friends were stunned and asked, “Where have you brought us?” I simply want the owner to know that after such a long association, this experience has left a very bad taste. I’m deeply disappointed and quite surprised by the way this was handled. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
