I spotted this red and black colored tempo traveller of a food truck in Bagmane Techpark, CV Raman Nagar yesterday and decided to pick my lunch from there.
As most of the food trucks operate, Wicked Chef is no different, they are seen on different parts of the city on different days. You can track them on their Facebook page.
This food truck offered burger, pasta, fries, cheese poppers and fish and chips yesterday. I picked Veg burger with slaw (coleslaw). Although extra cheese was additional charge and I didn't ask for it, the veg burger sans cheese per my order came with a generous slice of cheese. The Patty stuffed inside the burger was immediately fried, and the bun was warm and fluffy. Burger stuffed with patty, lettuce and tomato slice and offcourse the cheese. The burger was lovely to say the least. the coleslaw begged for some additional Mayo. Nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed the burger, that was priced at Rs. 130.
The service is moderately quick, you will see your food made ready inside the truck. There is a detachable dustbin that comes along with the truck. If the hand sanitizer or wet tissues are made available in the truck for the customers to wipe off all the sauce, mayo and cheese left over after eating the food, that would be great.
Value for money and good for a bite on the run. This truck is near Nilgiris on 6th Main Defence Colony and usually has parking lights on.
I had ordered chicken burger, it was Rs 150 and came on an environment friendly plate. The burger came with cheese though I had not asked for it and it was not melted. The burger was tasty though n the coleslaw crunchy with less Mayo bit that was ok with me. There is a garbage bin attached to the truck for the disposables. Good experience overall.
Well will give a benefit of doubt this time as they see to have been struggling at the food festival for the rush of it at Swamy Vivekanand Metro station. Even the quality of the food was very average and both the chef and the server were struggling to keep with the pace of the orders. Will try it once at Indiranagar before giving a one time final review.
