In case the rain took you by surprise during the promenade around Kasmanda Palace, stop by this restaurant. If you have never tried Chinese and Mughlai cuisines, you should order a table and try the menu at Whispering Windows. There is a beautiful view from this place. I dined in at their restaurant where we ordered soup and momos. Noodles with soup were soggy and there were live cockroaches in the momos container. There was no shame on the restaurant staff face and they just took the food away without any apology. Avoid their dine in at all costs

“The potato, practically unknown in India before its introduction in the nineteenth century, was soon to become a popular and vital ingredient of so many Indian dishes. The humble aloo made life much more interesting for chefs, housewives, gourmands, and gourmets'- Ruskin Bond, Roads to Mussoorie. A great place to have Aloo paratha and Jeera aloo is Whispering Windows restaurant right on the Mall road The restaurant is located right on the mall near the library end. You can have a nice meal while gazing at the tourists from the first floor. It serves typical North Indian fare. The thali is quite filling. Also recommended is their butter nan and paneer pasanda. We have been visiting this lovely restaurant for more than 15 years now and it is interesting to see how the facade has changed over the years
