I visited What's In A Name in Bangalore on a weekend with a friend, hoping for a good time – but what we got instead was one of the worst restaurant experiences imaginable. To start with, the food was below average, barely edible, and the drinks were equally disappointing. But the real nightmare began with the service, which was not just incompetent – it was appalling. After placing our order, we were billed twice for the same payment. Despite showing clear proof that the amount had already been deducted from my account, the waiter kept insisting that we pay again. We were forced to pay twice, and no one at the restaurant seemed to care or help. We reached out to customer service, but there was no response for hours. And when they finally picked up, instead of offering help, they were rude, yelling, and even hurled slurs at us – completely unprovoked and unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we asked for a refund, one of the male staff members at the restaurant began shouting at us and calling us names. This level of behavior from a service staff member is outrageous. When we tried escalating the matter to the manager, the cycle repeated — no accountability, just gaslighting and arrogance. This isn't about the money. It's about the disgusting attitude and horrendous customer service shown to paying customers – worse, to college students who were nothing but polite even after being scammed.additionally, we had also seen a dog taking a leak in the restaurant out in the open, raising concerns regarding the cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant.

Basically a Kareoke Bar .Good enough service , but lacks professionalism sometimes. The food is let's say 6/10 , that is if I include Chicken Malai tikka which is A 10/10.The Kjs are nice but favour bigger groups etc spl on weekends so you may have to wait Upto 2 hours and be content with one song. The beer is great and the service is average .it's best to buy your cigg before hand and come as it is highly over priced.the food pricing has also increased by 10-15 percent. No Acs only coolers and that too inside area, they dnt let you sit inside spl on weekends if you are single, dsnt matter if you patronise then for more than 4-5 years.Over all if you love to sing and have decent enough drinks and food this place is good

I recently visited this restaurant and left feeling quite disappointed. We were charged a steep cover fee of ₹1000 for two people, which set high expectations for the experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to them. We chose to sit at an outdoor table for a quieter, more comfortable atmosphere. However, the staff member taking our food order (not the one serving) repeatedly insisted we move indoors where loud karaoke was happening — something we weren’t interested in at all. What was frustrating is that this pressure seemed directed only at us, despite other tables being available. He was also noticeably rude in his approach. After we sat at the table we preferred, he brought over a "reserved" tag, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. At this point, I had to ask for a reimbursement of the cover charge if they weren’t willing to let us sit where we wanted. Eventually, we found another similar table ourselves without his help. I'm still wondering why they decided to add cover charges for this restaurant where seating arrangements and reservations are not streamlined. Their staff needs to be trained on that aspect. Overall, the experience felt pushy, rude, and unwelcoming. For the cover charge and the experience promised, I expected better hospitality, better food, and more respect for customer preferences. I used to like this place, but I won’t be returning anytime soon. It feels like they don’t value customers anymore — or perhaps they’re just frustrated themselves. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
