I recently had the pleasure of staying at *The White House* in Katagla, which, though the oldest property in the area, is by far the best. The standout feature of this place is its riverside café—without a doubt, the most beautiful café in both Katagla and Kasol. The food was exceptional; I highly recommend trying their cold coffee, israeli food, farmhouse pizza, hot chocolate and pancakes. The hosts, Anjali, along with the staff, Gaurav and Mahesh, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect during my stay. Their hospitality truly made the experience memorable. I went there twice once to enquire about a stay and second time to eat. During the stay enquire a lady at the reception attended me and ny experience was awful apparently they only had a room for 5 people available and us being just 2 me and my wife she said room isn't available. The room suitable for 5 people costed about 8k which when i asked if we could avail if i was ready to pay the full charges to which she didn't have a pleasant reaction snd started cross questioning me and asked why would you pay for 5 people and why am i ready to waste money like water. Now i don't want to teach you how to run the business but other stays in the belt were charging approx 13k per night (which i ended up booking) because it was for 30th dec to 1st Jan) so you were clearly unaware what your competition is doing cos if you were this question wouldn't have arised The second time i went there was to eat which was a horror there were three servers and they just kept telling each other to take the order and finally one of them came post a 10 mins wait. We ordered the garlic bread and pizza and trust me when i say its the worst i have had till date. There was no salt or seasoning done while making it, we had to season it as it come inclund the oregano and flakes. Service: Dine in Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
