Mixed Mushroom Chow - Rs.150/- Wamaia Food Corner, Lummawrie, Shillong Chinese Fast Food $ 19.07.24 Today I'm at Wamaia Food Corner, a small little hole in the wall eatery that I've passed by many many times & well I decided to try out their food today. The place is a small little space which is completely packed if there are double digit number of heads inside. However, whenever I pass, I have always seen it to be full. So they must be doing something right. I entered inside & it had some anime characters pasted on the wall. And a shelf with delicious looking fried snacks such Drumsticks, Lollipop, Pakoras & Rolls. Luckily I still got a seat & after looking at the menu, I ordered a plate of Mixed Mushroom Chow. Now just like last night, I noticed that the folks running the place are Pnars. So I can see how enterprising & successful their business is. The people eating with me were all students. Anyway the order came after 10mins. It was served in a disposable plate & fork along with chillies & onions. There was ketchup, chilli sauce & another home made chilli sauce. The noodles were thin & the portions were just enough. There was an egg on top along with spring onions. I noticed the chopped button mushrooms & chicken. However, I didn't notice any pork fat pieces. I took a bite & it was good & it became even better with the chilli sauces. Now I know why this joint is lit. 150 bucks for noodles in a hole in the wall kind of place may sound 10-20 bucks too many but once you try it, you will know it's worth it.
