5/5 – A Classic Pune Favorite for a Reason! Wadeshwar is one of those iconic places in Pune that truly lives up to its reputation, especially when it comes to South Indian cuisine. I visited the restaurant twice in a single day—once for breakfast and again for lunch—and both experiences were absolutely fantastic. For breakfast, we ordered the Masala Dosa and Mysore Masala Dosa, and they were simply perfect—crispy, flavourful, and served with authentic ghee. The sambar and chutneys were excellent, especially the coconut chutney, which was so good that I had to ask for it again and again. The entire dosa experience was top-notch. I also tried their Upma, which was soft, fresh, and perfectly cooked. You could actually feel the freshness in every bite, and it paired beautifully with their coconut chutney. We ended breakfast with their filter coffee, which was strong, aromatic, and served without sugar, with sugar provided separately—something I really appreciate since you can adjust it as per your taste. Despite the restaurant being quite crowded during breakfast hours, the waiting time was barely 2–3 minutes, which was very well managed. Later, during lunch, the place was full again, and since we were a larger group, we waited around 5 minutes, which honestly didn’t feel like a hassle at all. The way the staff handles the crowd and attends to customers is truly commendable—service is absolutely top-notch. For lunch, we ordered a variety of items including Mysore Dosa, Chutney Sandwich, Veg Grilled Sandwich, Molaga Podi Idli, and Cheese Onion Uttappa. Every dish was delicious, but the Molaga Podi Idli completely blew my mind—it was incredibly flavourful and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The Cheese Onion Uttappa was soft, well cooked, and perfectly balanced, with every flavour coming through beautifully. We again finished our meal with tea and coffee, both of which were excellent. Another major highlight is their hygiene—easily 10/10. Everything feels clean, fresh, and well maintained, which gives complete confidence in the food quality. You can be sure that the ingredients used are fresh, and there’s no worry about post-meal discomfort. Overall, Wadeshwar is a must-visit place for people of all age groups—kids, adults, and senior citizens alike. A solid 5/5 experience and highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic, tasty, and hygienic South Indian food in Pune. Aloo paratha was delicious. But the raita served with it was too sweet. Pineapple sheera was good but seemed like it had more essence than actual pineapple. But I'll definitely go back for the paratha! Waiter served with a smile, which felt good, too! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
