An average place, for budget booze and privacy. Don't visit in summers, as the place has open huts, you'll be literally sweating. Food quality is average and booze is priced more than good bars like Touchdown. They have a projector and they project Cricket games during IPL and cricket tours.
Voodoo means home in Madras Tamil. True to its meaning it’d be a sin if I don’t call Voodoo by second home when it comes to binge drinking. For my birthday we first hit Havana followed by Bikes and Barrel and finally halted here. Trust me none of the above gave us pleasure as much as Voodoo did.
Till now we’ve settled for outdoors most of the time so that smoking won’t be a problem but more importantly we weren’t aware of an indoor place existing within the bar. In fact I had to confirm whether I’m writing a correct review for the place
after watching the photos in Zomato. Indeed I’m right.
This place is a better version of TASMAC open bars, not that I’ve a thorough knowledge of them but you’ll know what I say when you enter. Raja sir music, Sun music mash up, you feel truly at home. Drinks are somewhat overpriced for the place but food is in the range of all mid-sized restaurants in that area.
If at all there is one thing that’ll annoy you it’ll be the waiters who are foul mouthed most of the times. Not to you but to their peers and subordinates. You hear words like mother, sister etc. quite frequently. It’s not a big deal if you are sloshed, which if the reason why you go to voodoo but if you wanna have a casual drink no this is not the place to go.
Parking as such isn’t a big hassle even though there isn’t much of a parking space. Somehow they manage to squeeze in all the vehicles in that little space of theirs. But be aware the biggest risk is it’s in ECR and chances are high that you’ll get caught by a police if found guilty of drunken drinking. Every gang has that sober friend, who takes care of the bags when we plunge into the waves, take him with you I say!
